A city where the East Sea, Gyeongpo Lake, and the Daegwallyeong foothills all come together.
On the coast there are beaches and Coffee Street, and in Chodang-dong there's a sundubu alley.
Old houses like Ojukheon and Seongyojang, plus the Dano Festival tradition, are alive and well!

On the Heonhwa-ro coastal road, in Gangdong-myeon. They say there are sea rooms and even a hanok-style room.
A hotel on Haean-ro. From Deluxe Ondol to Corner Suite!
In Gangmun-dong. The room names are 'Good Room' and 'Better Room'. Kinda trustworthy, right?
In Gyo-dong. Pick from Superior, Deluxe, and Suite.
On Yulgok-ro, Gangdong-myeon. Check-in is at 3:30 p.m.!
A pension on Dojik-gil in Okgye-myeon. The rooms are named A_1, A_2.
In Sacheon-myeon. Check-in is a little early, at noon.
A resort on Yeomjeon-gil, Gangdong-myeon. They say there's a Deluxe Jacuzzi Room too.
I can't tell if they're famous, either.
Just remember one signature dish and go!

On Jeongdong Deungmyeong-gil. The signature is the snow crab sashimi set! Closed Wednesdays.
A roadside restaurant on Heonhwa-ro. Mangchi maeuntang (spicy gurnard stew) is the signature, and it's closed Tuesdays.
A restaurant in Gangmun-dong. Abalone seafood ttukbaegi is the signature! Open year-round.
A dining spot in Chodang-dong. They say they have a 10-course meal. Closed Sundays.
Chodang sundubu chapssaltteok (glutinous rice cake) is the signature. Open year-round, so drop in anytime!
A restaurant on Chodang Sundubu-gil. Seafood jjamppong sundubu hotpot is the signature, and it's closed Tuesdays.
A restaurant in Gangmun-dong. Tteok-galbi set is the signature! Closed Wednesdays.
Handmade fresh Hanbon pork ribs are the signature. Open year-round, so no worries!
A café on Changhae-ro. The Rosie latte is the signature.
A sesame-oil latte, curious, right? They have jocheong bean donuts too.

The beach you think of first when you hear Gangneung's sea. The sand stretches out wide and open.
An old pavilion overlooking Gyeongpo Lake. Rest a while in the breeze!
An old house with the stories of Shin Saimdang and Yi I (Yulgok). You can see black bamboo here too.
Coffee with a sea view! You'll see why Gangneung is a coffee city.
A seashore famous for sunrises. The sea beside a railway makes it extra special.

Strange rocks carved by waves. The wish at Adeul Rock is a secret!
It's not only the sea! There's a valley with clear water and rocky cliffs.
Jungang, Seobu, and Dongbu Markets are all open every day.
